Work as a Path of Realization

The Path of Action: Day 1

When we work for the benefit of others and for goals that go beyond personal concerns, we have the chance to deepen our knowledge.

Work lets us practice patience, endurance, and willingness. When resistance comes up, we learn directly in our own experience how the mind operates.

In this way, work makes life into a path of realization.

The path of action is based on developing concentration, awareness, and positive energy. This creates a stable foundation for staying in close touch with what you are doing.

Awareness, concentration and positive energy make it easier to learn new skills and to develop existing skills. They support good communication, inner stability, and a broader, deeper intelligence. We find it easier to meet challenges, take responsibility, and make good decisions.
